Join the 5,000 Hydrogen Vehicle Challenge

We’re designing Canada’s roadmap to a net-zero future—starting in the Edmonton region. This Challenge is bringing the entire hydrogen value chain together to decarbonize commercial transportation with hydrogen technology. And when we prove it works here, the same model can be used nationwide.

Edmonton rigging hydrogen announces the 500th vehicle challenge.

Canada’s path to net zero runs through the Edmonton region.

The transportation industry needs a multi-pronged approach to building a low-carbon transportation system and hydrogen has emerged as a viable strategy for companies looking to decarbonize their fleets – but there are challenges. High cost of vehicles, lack of existing infrastructure, and access to supply are all things that need to be addressed in order for industry to make the transition to hydrogen as a fuel source.

The ultimate goal of this challenge is to have 5,000 hydrogen or dual-fuel hydrogen vehicles on the road in Western Canada in the next five years.

We’re building a task force that will include key decision makers from government and industry coming together to address these barriers –  and we want you to join us.

By joining the Challenge you will:

  • position your organization or company as a leader in sustainable transportation
  • help build a strategy to meet your company’s net-zero targets
  • reduce costs associated with transitioning to hydrogen
  • improve environmental performance
  • future-proof your business by being proactive in responding to increasing energy costs
  • help de-risk the transition to hydrogen

Now is the time to scale up technologies and bring down costs to allow hydrogen to become widely used.

Sign up now to express your interest. The race is on!

Join the Challenge and be a part of creating the roadmap to a net-zero future for Canada. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make an impact on the global energy transition.
