The time to double down on hydrogen in Alberta is now.
The transportation industry needs a multi-pronged approach to building a low-carbon transportation system and hydrogen has emerged as a viable strategy for companies looking to de-carbonize their fleets – but there are challenges. High cost of vehicles, lack of existing infrastructure, and access to supply are all things that need to be addressed in order for industry to make the transition to hydrogen as a fuel source.
The ultimate goal of this challenge is to have 5,000 hydrogen or dual-fuel hydrogen vehicles on the road in Western Canada in the next five years.
We’re building a task force that will include key decision makers from government and industry coming together to address these barriers – and we want you to join us.
By joining the challenge you will:
Now is the time to scale up technologies and bring down costs to allow hydrogen to become widely used.
Be a part of creating the roadmap to a net-zero future for Canada. And if we prove that it works here, the same model can be used nationwide. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make an impact on the global energy transition.
