Our region thrives because of the support of investors, elevators, an extensive startup support system, and established and prominent research hubs. Innovation in the region is inclusive - it's happening across diverse sectors and includes social, cultural, sustainable and indigenous innovation.
The Edmonton Region is a place to challenge boundaries, unlock your potential, and achieve the unthinkable.
Renewable natural gas and anaerobic digestion evaluation and process improvement.
The Cellulose Nanocrystals (CNC) pilot plant can produce kilogram quantities of CNC from any fibres with high alpha-cellulose content. Regardless of cellulose feedstock, the pilot plant can produce CNC in various final forms, including spray-dried powder or in suspension at various concentrations.
CT imaging technology provides a very consistent, non-intrusive, and safe method of viewing the internals of the scanned samples. While a lot of information can be discovered about the sample from other tests, obtaining images of the internal characteristics of samples are often key to obtaining a comprehensive understanding.
The facility is used to develop, optimize, and scale biological processes, provide toll processing services and assist customers in the deployment, demonstration and commercialization of novel technology.
Capable of producing traditional wood pulps agricultural fibre pulps and more exotic materials such as nanocrystals and nanofibrils. The facility has mechanical options for preprocessing materials and can conduct pulp piloting and testing, and have access to a Tornado Pulper System for wet fibre processing.
Conducts research on plants and crops that can de-risk and improve the success of reclamation projects, mainly in the oil and gas and industrial sectors.
Steam flow, emulsion testing, micro model capabilities, scaled model sandpack systems, fat tube – coreflood systems, and chemical reactors.
The members of InnoTech Alberta’s Spectroscopy Laboratory are experts in the application of a variety of spectroscopic techniques to industrial and environmental problems that our clients face.
