June 21, 2024 (Edmonton Metropolitan Region) – Today, Edmonton Global shareholders, Board and management met to receive, review, and affirm the forward-looking recommendations of the Shareholder Ad Hoc Working Group which was convened six months ago.  This comes after approximately five operational years of Edmonton Global, making it an ideal time for this crucial work. The recommendations accepted today are a result of an extensive stakeholder engagement process, aimed at determining strategies for improving regional collaboration for economic development in the Edmonton region. The recommendations will enhance Edmonton Global’s work by addressing the organization’s funding model, governance, and strategy development.

The Working Group was tasked with providing strategic recommendations to Edmonton Global shareholders and Board on how to address challenges that were being raised by its shareholders. With the final report having been delivered, the Ad Hoc Working Group has concluded its work.
