Today, HCL Technologies (HCL), a leading global technology company announced the opening of its innovation center focused on engineering and research & development services in Edmonton. The investment will create high quality tech jobs in our Region. The centre will have working stations for 50 employees, but the investment represents a significantly higher number of new jobs as many of the employees will be working remotely or will be embedded in HCL client offices.

The Edmonton centre will house an engineering and co-innovation lab, allowing customers to not only envision their products, but also to see rapid product prototyping, collaborative research, and continuous learning to accelerate market entry.
As part of its expansion, HCL will hire engineering talent from local educational institutions. In addition to the Edmonton centre, HCL has also opened Global Delivery Centres in Mississauga, Ontario and Moncton, New Brunswick.
