Vesti, a rapidly growing technology startup dedicated to empowering immigrants worldwide with access to financial services, is expanding its operations into the Edmonton Region. This strategic move underscores the Edmonton Region’s growing reputation as a global hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth. To begin with, the company will co-locate at Edmonton Unlimited. They are in the process of hiring a team of four locally, with plans to further expand the team through 2025.
Founded with a vision to break down financial barriers for immigrants, Vesti provides tools and solutions that simplify cross-border financial transactions, residency processes, and more. With offices in five countries and over one million users worldwide, the company is revolutionizing how immigrants navigate their new environments. This will be the company’s first expansion into Canada.
Vesti is a Techstars-backed company and recently participated in the latest TELUS Community Safety and Wellness Accelerator cohort which is where they were introduced to Edmonton Global and learned about the opportunities in the Edmonton Region.
To mark its arrival, Vesti is planning a takeover of Edmonton Unlimited’s Community Coffee. The event will serve as an introduction to the Edmonton Region’s vibrant business and tech communities, providing an opportunity to connect with local leaders, stakeholders, and innovators. The event is scheduled for the morning of March 5 and details for the event can be found here. Vesti aims to use this gathering to spark meaningful conversations and explore collaboration opportunities with the local community.
