The Edmonton Metropolitan Region offers a competitive and business-friendly tax structure. We say no to superfluous and high taxes, giving you more opportunities to say “yes” to investment.
The combined federal/provincial corporate income tax rate in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region is 26% (15% federal and 11% provincial) for general businesses and 11% (9% federal and 2% provincial) for small businesses with revenues below $500,000.
The provincial corporate tax rate will be lowered by 1 percentage point each year until 2022. In 2022, Alberta's corporate tax rate will be 8%, making the combined federal/provincial rate an expected 23%, which is among the lowest corporate tax rates in North America.
