Young people were among the hardest and fastest hit when the pandemic struck, experiencing more job losses than any other age demographic. Despite these challenges, many of Edmonton’s youth have adapted and persevered.

Join Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and young leaders from across the Edmonton region in a conversation about the impact of COVID-19 on youth, and Edmonton’s economic opportunities going forward. Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland will answer your questions live during the webinar.

The discussion will cover:

  • How young people have been affected by the economic fallout from COVID-19.
  • What the Canadian government has done to support young people during the pandemic.
  • A youth vision for a post-pandemic recovery and how can the government be a part of achieving it.
