The WPC is the largest oil and gas conference in the world and takes place every three years. Calgary last hosted the WPC in 2000. The triennial WPC is widely known as the “Olympics” of the petroleum industry. It covers all aspects of the industry from technological advances in upstream and downstream operations to the role of natural gas and renewables, management of the industry and its social, economic and environmental impact. The WPC exhibition tends to favour international and domestic oil and gas producer companies, over service and equipment companies.
