What is deep tech? Deep tech describes companies or enterprises that seek to address societal challenges like climate change, food security, and critical and chronic diseases, by combining innovative solutions and approaches, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, big data, nanotechnologies, quantum technologies, advanced materials, biotech, photonics and electronics, robotics and more. Because it requires early-stage research and development, deep tech needs substantial capital investments; however, the resulting solutions can often disrupt existing markets or create new ones, with significant impact on everyday life.
